Hi, I'm Sarah, mum of two boys and former education consultant turned yoga teacher. After more than a decade of a successful & highly pressured teaching career, I left mainstream education in 2012 to travel. It was while in Latin America that I found yoga as an antidote to the all-too-common stress & burnout of modern life.
I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2013 and later completed my advanced training in Mysore, India, studying the styles of Iyengar & Ashtanga with focus on alignment and adjustment, and learning Thai yoga massage to enhance my anatomical knowledge. Upon returning to the UK and after the birth of my first son, I trained as a Mother & Baby Yoga teacher and later qualified in Pre- & Post-natal Yoga and Toddler Yoga.
I structure sessions along the lines of Vinyasa & Hatha, although I specialise in yoga for women’s bodies at all stages of life. I ran the first regular Dad & Baby Yoga class in South London and love to support new parents, walking with them for a while on this exciting road, specifically offering advice & support with regards to postpartum recovery.
My classes are dynamic yet playful, flowing but structured, encouraging students to feel grounded and energised.
